Oh, where has the time gone?! It's amazing how far these two have come in 6 months. They laugh and play together and love their mommy and daddy. They are speaking more and more every day. They are still delayed compared to others adopted at the same time, but I've been told that this is common for twins to be a bit more delayed. They do have some sort of twin language thing going on. One of their favorite new words is to say "owie" and either myself, Robert or one of them has to kiss the spot they point to. They will even kiss their own "owie". It's so darn cute to watch. One of these days I need to write down all the words they say. Their favorites words are "car" and "baby" and they love listening for airplanes (yes, this is most certainly Robert's doing!) and will sign "airplane" every time. They still prefer to sign over speaking, but I'm working really hard on having them use their words instead. It's a slow process... Today's new word: "pretty" and yes, they are!

Their favorite game is a good game of chase and we will run around the house and sometimes hide and then catch them and give them a big kiss. They also love a good game of Peek-a-boo.
They love to be cuddled and kissed and are very attached to us. I think the fact that they are twins and have each other has really helped a lot in that department. Sometimes they will run through the house holding hands (of course there are other times that they want to kill each other, but heck they are sisters!)
Sleeping: except for a few bouts they have been really good sleepers and sleep through the night. We've had a few rough spots, but they seem to have gone away for now.
Food: They eat an amazing amount for the little peanuts that they are. They can be picky eaters and will sometimes hold out for food that they want (like crackers), but I only give those out sparingly. They don't like to wear their bibs and it's a constant battle especially if I'm giving them messy food. They are getting better at using their forks and spoons, but definitely need more spoon work! Sarah is more proficient than Leah. Leah still prefers to be fed, but I'm working on that...
The girls survived their first Passover Seder and just LOVE matzah and most especially matzah pizza. They love crackers and keep signing for more "crackers" (matzah). They also love grandma's mandel bread - a good teething cookie! You will notice Leah with her leg on the table - I've tried to curb that habit, but you can see how successful that has been - NOT!

Teeth: yes, they are all coming in and they are teething away! Hands are always in their mouths.
Today, we had art day! I bought some play dough and Color Wonder markers and paper and the girls went to town! Their first of many craft projects. They created their very first works of art! Michelangelo better watch out! I think they have a lovely sense of color and composition (yes, I am biased, but I was an art major...).
